Hiring Petts Wood War Memorial Hall

Centrally located in Petts Wood, Orpington, Bromley, the Memorial Hall and Towncourt Rooms are available to hire for private functions and events, at reasonable hourly rates, either as a one-off or on a regular basis.

Facilities

There are two halls available to hire: the Memorial Hall and the Towncourt Rooms.

Memorial Hall

The Memorial Hall has a capacity of 180 people and is well equipped with kitchen/tea bar, stage, modern stage lighting controls, changing room, modern toilets including facilities for the disabled and separate baby change.

The Memorial Hall is a viable option for theatre groups who are looking for a smaller venue which has a good sized stage and modern lighting system. The Towncourt Rooms are equipped to be used as dressing rooms for theatre productions. The lighting system can achieve a vast range of effects using any DMX512 compatible control board, including sophisticated computer based controls, which can be plugged in to several convenient points located around the hall.

Towncourt Rooms

The Towncourt Rooms is a smaller hall that can accommodate 50 people. There is a partition that can be drawn midway, should the need arise. This small hall benefits from its own self contained kitchen and separate toilet facilities.

The Towncourt rooms are an ideal venue for meetings and children's parties or playgroups.

2010 Letting rates

The rates for letting from 1 January 2010, until further notice, are as follows:

Memorial Hall:

£28.00 per hour.

A discount is available for regular users of the Memorial Hall within the following times:

• 42.5% for weekly users
  Sunday to Friday 09:00 to 22:00 and Saturday 09:00 to 13:00
• 50% for daily users
  Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:00

Towncourt Rooms:

£16.60 per hour.

A discount is available for regular users of the Towncourt Rooms within the following times:

• 30% for weekly users
  Sunday to Friday 09:00 to 22:00 and Saturday 09:00 to 13:00
• 37.5% for daily users
  Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:00

Rates are generally increased annually, taking effect from 1 January, but may be subject to change without notice.

2009 Rates

The rates for letting from 1 January until 31 December 2009 are as follows:

Memorial Hall:

£27.00 per hour.

A discount is available for regular users of the Memorial Hall within the following times:

• 42.5% for weekly users
  Sunday to Friday 09:00 to 22:00 and Saturday 09:00 to 13:00
• 50% for daily users
  Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:00

Towncourt Rooms:

£16.00 per hour.

A discount is available for regular users of the Towncourt Rooms within the following times:

• 30% for weekly users
  Sunday to Friday 09:00 to 22:00 and Saturday 09:00 to 13:00
• 37.5% for daily users
  Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:00
