Petts Wood War Memorial Hall
The Memorial Hall in Petts Wood, Orpington, Bromley, is an active community centre, set in tranquil gardens in the heart of Petts Wood and is the venue for numerous community events, private functions and regular activities. The facilities are enjoyed by many local residents and most weeks see over a thousand people making use of this wonderful local resource.
The gardens first opened to the public in May 1950 and the hall was opened in January 1955 by Joseph Cast, a former local resident who had generously donated the land.
The hall and gardens are run and maintained for the benefit of the residents of Petts Wood by The Petts Wood War Memorial Trust, a registered charity.
